13 Day Nile Cruise Felucca on the Princess Sarah Felucca
Tour some of the sites of Egypt including a fantastic cruise on the Nile River with our intrepid crew aboard our Felucca
Day 1
Arrive in Cairo where you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel.
Day 2 - 4
Amongst some of the sites you will see will be:
- Pyramids
- City of the Dead
- Mosque
- Cairo Tower
- Cairo Museum
- Khan il Khalili Bazaar
On the last day take the overnight sleeper train or fly to Aswan.
Day 4 & 5
Arrive Aswan book into hotel. Visit local sites today and tomorrow, including:
- Philae Temple
- Aswan High Dam
- Possible visit a Nubian village
- Elephantine Island
- Local Souks
Day 6
Take the convoy late morning to Abu Simble and stay the night in a local hotel – you’ll have the afternoon/evening to relax by the pool overlooking Lake Nasser. You could do the light and sound show at Abu Simbel in the evening.
Day 7
Up early to walk to Abu Simbel get there just before sunrise (it’s 5 – 10 minutes up the road from the hotel) you’ll get to beat all the tour buses and get to marvel at one of our favourite sites in Egypt in relative peace and quiet. Then join the convoy back to Aswan where you will board your home for the next few days on our felucca ‘Princess Sarah’ – felucca sailing time is upon you.
Day 8 & 9
Sailing on the beautiful Nile, all your food and soft drinks are provided and you’ll be visiting:
- Beaches
- Kom Ombo Temple
- Daraw Village
- Camel Narkets
Take in the views on this idyllic river.
Day 10
Sadly leave your felucca and the crew behind and drive to Edfu where you can visit Edfu Temple, and get lunch in a local village. Then continue onto Luxor where you can stay on the West Bank in an apartment with a swimming pool.
Day 11 & 12
Up early to take a fun donkey ride or car/coaster to the Valley of the Kings, then see some of the other sites of Luxor over the next 2 days which include:
- Hapshetsut Temple
- The Colossus of Menon
- Karnak Temple
- Local Souks
- Possibly Banana island
- Horse and carriage ride
Day 13
Fly to Cairo from Luxor and then from Cairo to your next destination.
